Amy is a seasoned social work practitioner with a deep commitment to social justice and equity. She braids her experience working with nonprofit organizations, local government and philanthropic organizations when partnering with communities to build community power and local capacity – rooted by healing and love. She had the honor of being part of Justice Funder’s Harmony Initiative in 2025 and is inspired to transform philanthropy to advance systems change in her role with SJF.
Amy was a Youth Justice Leadership Institute Fellow with the National Juvenile Justice Network, a JustLead Washington Fellow, and served as a Seattle Human Rights Commissioner. She currently serves as a Board of Director for the Mockingbird Society, an advocacy organization centered on transforming the foster care and ending youth homelessness. Amy earned her Master’s degree in Social Work and Bachelor’s in American Ethnic Studies from the University of Washington.
Jason Lacsamana is the Director of Programs and Partnerships for the St. Joseph Fund. In this role, Jason designs, implements, and supervises innovative initiatives that will positively impact health, with the ultimate aim of equity and justice in communities. This work requires the creation of meaningful partnerships with community organizations and institutions and re-envisions the role of a Funder as a collaborator.
With over 30 years in both the nonprofit and philanthropic fields, Jason has been dedicated to efforts that build community capacity, allowing organizations, neighborhoods, and diverse partnerships to become more stable, self-sustaining, and better advocates for regional needs. Additionally, he is a frequent speaker/presenter at regional and national conferences on the value and importance of collaboration across all sectors in achieving programmatic and policymaking success.
Jason graduated from UCLA with a Master’s in Public Health and has been recognized as Health Educator of the Year by the Society of Public Health Educators and was a recipient of the Civil Rights Leadership Award from the California Association of Human Relations Associations. Jason has served as the past chairperson of the Boards of Orange County Grantmakers and PBS SoCal, as well as other regional and national nonprofit organizations.
Gabriela Robles is the President and Chief Executive of the St. Joseph Fund (SJF) and Chief Mission Integration Officer, South Division (California) at Providence. She leads SJF’s efforts to build healing-centered capacity and guides the strategic direction of SJF’s grantmaking and partnerships rooted in love. She helps shape and influence how Providence’s mission, values, and vision are embedded across the organization.
Before her role at Providence, Gabriela worked in corporate giving at Merrill Lynch’s Global Philanthropy Department and subsequently served at Helen Keller International as manager of the international vision delivery program. Gabriela first served St. Joseph Health as executive director of the St. Joseph Health Foundation from 1999 to 2002.
In addition to her extensive professional and volunteer experience, Gabriela has pursued several post-secondary degrees that bring a breadth of knowledge and skills across multiple fields. Gabriela earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science, and shortly after graduating, pursued a master’s degree in urban and regional planning, both at the University of California at Irvine. Later, she earned an MBA from New York University and a Master of Arts in Health Care Mission from Aquinas Institute of Theology.
Gabriela’s position allows her to network with community leaders and identify opportunities to support equity in creative ways. Gabriela serves on the Boards of Girl Scouts of Orange County, FADICA (Foundations and Donors Interested in Catholic Activities), and The HealthCare Foundation for Orange County. By engaging with local grantmaking efforts, Gabriela finds innovative ways for SJF to collaborate and more equitably serve the community.
