Partners celebrating 40 Years Rooted in Love

Rooted in Love for 40 Years

For 40 years, the St. Joseph Fund has partnered alongside communities, rooted in love. What began in 1986 as the St. Joseph Health System Foundation, an expression of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange’s call to continue Christ’s healing ministry, has grown into a mission-driven grantmaking partner committed to advancing equity, racial justice, community power-building, and systems change.

From early regional investments and disaster response to long-term initiatives in community organizing, education, and resilience, each chapter of our story has been shaped by our partners’ wisdom and leadership.

This timeline traces the milestones, pivots, and moments that have formed who we are today and where we are being called next.
